A glimpse into the world of assistance

Since the job of personal assistant is not yet widely known in our society, I would like to give you a brief glimpse into this world  with the help of some pictures. Of course, you won't be able to understand every single thing you would have to do for me from these pictures, but you will get a first impression. My daily routine is ultimately as varied and diverse as your own day is likely to be. It is important to me that you see these pictures as examples only and that you are open to a flexible and inclusive everyday life with me.

If you would like to see more impressions of my life, feel free to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

I look forward to receiving your detailed application.

Employee voices:

Assistant:

Fiola: “I have so much fun with Matthias!”

Anna: “At first, I had doubts about whether I could really care for someone—I had never done it before. But thanks to Matthias's nature, it was never an issue.”

Lisa: “Before I started, I thought a lot about what a day in the life of a wheelchair user would be like. I was quite surprised that Matthias' everyday life is actually not that different from my own.”

Mathias: “The length of the shifts shocked me a bit at first! But to be honest, the time flies by pretty quickly.”

Franziska: “At first, I was worried that I was too weak for the job, weighing only 50 kg.”

Sabine: “I thought the focus would be on caregiving. But that's not the case at all. The caregiving aspect is hardly any greater than what I do for myself. The main focus is really on shaping everyday life as a whole.”

Claudia: "Imagine you're coming back from a vacation trip by train in the middle of the night, standing in the middle of the station, and the elevator is broken. What do you do? Don't think twice, call the police. They call the railway police. They come and organize a train that picks up only Matthias and me, leaves the station, and returns to another track where the elevator works.“

Kai: ”Actually, I was just looking for something to tide me over before I started my studies. Recently, I celebrated my fourth anniversary with Matthias."

Clarissa: “Matthias always has an open ear for us employees. If we ever have any difficulties, we try to find good solutions together.”

Leo: “I don't know anyone who is as undemanding when it comes to food as Matthias... impressive! He never complains about the food, even though I'm definitely not a good cook.”

Denise: “As a travel assistant, I'm always facing new challenges and experiencing how I can surpass myself – and I even get paid for it! A tip on the side: bring comfortable shoes.”

Nina: “Matthias has really changed my outlook on life. I've become more grateful for many things, and the job has fundamentally changed my attitude for the better.”

Sebastian: “Matthias has taught me that things you take for granted aren't always a given.”

Nicole: “Matthias has helped me become more organized.”

Henning: “This job has made me more patient... as a person with a disability, you often have to wait a long time for things.”

Caroline: “Even though Matthias is very active, we still enjoy a cozy evening in front of the TV every now and then...”
