Hamburg Block Assistant (f/d/m)
For our collaboration, it would be advantageous if you live in Hamburg or the surrounding area or can be on site every weekend you are on duty. Free transportation from Bielefeld or Hanover would be possible, and hotel accommodation would of course be paid for you.
- This position is available as a midijob/minijob.
It comprises 50 hours per month.
The Hamburg assistant position involves night duty.
You can sleep at night, after all, I sleep too. - Fri. approx. 11:30 a.m. to Sat. 8:00 a.m.
Sat. 8:00 a.m. to Sun. 9:00 a.m.
Sun. 9:00 a.m. to approx. 6:30 p.m. - This block can be split, so if you don't have time to accompany me the whole time, get in touch anyway and we'll see what we can do.
- This assignment usually takes place once a month. It starts and ends at Hamburg Central Station or Hanover or Bielefeld Central Station. The dates are set well in advance and can also be coordinated with you.
- A replacement will be provided if you are unable to attend.
You will accompany and support me on my weekends in Hamburg. The Hamburg weekend gives me the opportunity to escape my everyday life in Bielefeld and take a breather. Since 2011, I have been cultivating my passion for Hamburg and large cities with rivers, lakes, or a lively glamour world.
During my visits to the city, I like to meet up with friends and acquaintances in the area and occasionally go out for a meal. I really enjoy shopping, going to concerts or musicals of all kinds, and have a particular passion for large events such as the Harley Davidson meet, the harbor birthday celebrations, the Schlagermove parade, Christopher Street Day, and much more. I also enjoy going out to clubs in the evening and partying the night away. But I'm always open to trying new things.
We are very mobile in Hamburg thanks to my 10 km/h electric wheelchair and your own bike or one rented by me. If we want to go further afield, car sharing makes that no problem. Due to my disability, I am unfortunately unable to drive myself. It would therefore be advantageous, but not essential, if you have a class B/class III driver's license and are willing to drive a car-sharing vehicle. For insurance reasons, however, you must have at least two years of driving experience and be 22 years of age or older.
During your stay, we will be staying in a centrally located hotel. You will be responsible for light basic care tasks, for which you do not need any prior training. You will learn a specific technique for transferring someone in and out of a wheelchair, which enables even petite individuals to move a person of average weight. Please note that this is not a nursing or caregiving job (all of my previous assistants are and were career changers with no previous experience). I can easily teach you everything you will need to know to help me with my basic care, and I promise that it will not be physically demanding if you are in good shape.
Interested? Then I look forward to receiving your application with a detailed resume via the online application form.
