Personal assistant (f/d/m)
You will accompany and support me in my free time, for example during sporting activities such as swimming and cycling, shopping, concerts, events, visits to friends, excursions, dining out, and club visits. You are welcome to contribute your own ideas. A cheerful and active personality would greatly enrich my everyday life. If both parties are interested, there is also the possibility of accompanying me on short trips or vacations (see Worldwide Travel Assistance). Due to my disability, I am unfortunately unable to drive myself. Therefore, for flexibility reasons, it is necessary that you have a class B/class III driver's license and are willing to drive my car. It is not necessary that you have your own car. However, for insurance reasons, you need at least two years of driving experience.
I also have practical tasks to do around the house. I have structured these so that there are only a few small things to do each day. I also need help with cooking and eating, so it would be great if you can prepare simple meals. I also need help with personal hygiene. No previous training is necessary, but you should be willing and open to taking on nursing tasks after individual training. Necessary transfers, e.g., from a wheelchair to a sofa, into a car, to the toilet, into bed, are carried out using a specific technique that enables even petite individuals to move a person of average male weight. You do not have to carry me.
To assist me with organizational matters, it is important that you have basic PC skills. Accurate spelling and good grammar are necessary for writing letters or emails and preparing presentations, for example.
Private assistance is usually combined with night duty.
The following pictures give an impression of the tasks involved in private assistance.
